PCU-MCJN Class 2008
THANKSGIVING
These are just some of the greatest lessons we’ve learned in our journey in nursing… and just like the butterflies who were first uncertain, it took them a lot of courage to give up what they were used to be… Mary Johnston College of Nursing served as our cocoon… and now that we, the class 2008 were fully transformed to take our own flights in life…we will always remember those who helped us reach this far. It may not be TOO FAR, but we know for sure that we were never the same persons who first trod on the dormitory.
To our parents… even at times everyone else around seems to shout that we can’t do it… you may not have silenced them but your warm embraces and gentle words did cover our ears that we may still continue and only hear you.
Ma’am, sir… we may not know how many times during your deliberations you have raised your hands against or for US… we are grateful… at least at that moment, we were significant like a nominee in reality TV show…because right at that instant… you were thinking only of us… DISCIPLINE…that is… we’ve learned it the hard way… and still learning it the harder way, now that were out of the comfort zones of the college we have thought to be a thorny place.
What makes us proud of this? Its not that we will prove to anybody who in one way or another have belittled our ambitions that they were wrong.. but rather to those who never stopped seeing us through… those who believed we were worth a chance… and deserves this one… that they were never wrong
Indeed, each of us is a blue spirit pillow… varying in size, color, texture…we have our name on it the moment God’s manufacturing company made us… only, they designed the TWO last letters of our name to be invisible… and we would only see it… when EVERYTHING is RIGHT… when we are ripe... like a fruit that changes its color in due season…
To Ms. P.. we may not have made it in NCD..,not even ONCE… but in NLE… we’ve made it a hundred percent… Class 2008, your names are now complete!
