ILOCOS DAY 3

We have set 5:00am for beach...

we were off to seashore at 6:45am

Indeed, Saud Beach is more beguiling than Blue Lagoon i should say, with the sight of Bangui Windmills... you can actually count 'em all from here- they were 20!

No rocky seashore and finer white sand although some parts have accumulated dead seaweeds, but nevertheless, it's a beauty!

8:45am- Breakfast for P50 each

10:42am-We left the homestay for Laoag

12:30pm- We arrived @ Malacanang of the North, but sadly, Monday is maintenance day..:(

12:45pm- Paoay Lake, the legendary lake of the 4 lost villages brought about by a storm and earthquake in the 70's... the villages was said to have sank deep in the waters

12:56pm-Souvenirs near Herenzia Cafe. Tip: Do not buy at the front stores coz they cost more for around P20-P30, go and check the stores at the back.

1:30pm Paoay Church

1:56pm Lunch @ Herenzia Cafe

We had:

  • Crispy Dinuguan (thumbs up! because of its crispyness, one of my brackets was removed.)
  • Pinakbet Pizza (original yeah! instead of hot sauce, they also offer bagoong for a tastier bite of that pizza!)
  • Poque-poque (grilled Eggplant) etc which i forgot

P123 each (it was at 50% off, thanks to a generous heart who shouldered some amount :)

3:15pm Juan Luna Shrine Donation-P100/8 P12.50each

4:44pm Bantay Bell Tower (We literally just had 'pictorial' even though we are allowed to go up the tower, we were in a hurry to arrive at Baluarte while the animals are still awake)

Donation-P50/8 P6.25each

5:00pm Baluarte ni Chavit some took a free ride with the pony, took some pix with the camel, dinosaur, snakes and witnessed peacocks wooing their peahens and tiger chasing his tigress!

5:55pm Picture taking with Joey Marquez (i haven't mentioned that we saw him also in La Paz while sandboarding-but he didn't dare took a board f course.)

6:00pm Hidden Garden (there was no attraction in the place, it was just plainly- a garden. But what i liked most there was their comfort room.. made with native materials and glass wall depicting a picture window, pebbled ground & dim light- simply elegant and original.)

6:45pm checked-in Cordillera Inn P500 each

8:30pm walked through Calle Crisologo

9:00pm Dinner @Cafe Leona

We had:

  • Bagnet Pizza; and
  • Pasta All-you-can for P180 (this made us all excited since they offer a lot of pasta choices, but its disappointing that they do not have pastas ready to be served so you have to wait for 15 minutes , then you will eat for around 15 mins. then have another order that will take another 15 mins. and take note: the promo is only until 10pm, so basically, we had 1plateful of pasta for P90 each. it was supposedly a gustatory delight to have a variety of carbs for a night but it wasn't.)

Tip: Avail only of their Pasta-all-you-can when you are there earlier and request for smaller servings so you would taste all they got to offer.

Dinner: P261.25 each

Pictorial @the Heritage Village then went to slumber.

Summary: P953* for Day 3

*Souvenir items not included
